The first is in the spring and is to Jasper, Alberta May 24 - 26, 2019. The tour starts on a Friday evening, with a full day on the Saturday and concludes Sunday afternoon. Participants are responsible for their own accommodations and meals. However we do arrange a block booking of rooms with a local hotel. All the photo sites are easily accessed from the roadway and involve no more than an easy fifteen minute walk.
New for 2019!
July 26 - 28, 2019 we are going to David Thompson Country/ Abraham Lake. The format is like the Jasper Tour. We will start Friday evening, with a full day on the Saturday and concludes Sunday afternoon. Participants are responsible for their own accommodations and meals. If you are into camping (recreational vehicles or tenting) this is an ideal location as there is ample available camping sites. There are also local hotels, motels and lodges. We can assist you with making a reservation. All the photo sites are easily accessed from the roadway and involve no more than an easy fifteen-minute walk.
July or August 2019 we are going to Mount Robson Provincial Park. This tour involves: some intense hiking and three evenings of tenting. We leave on Friday morning and hike to the Whitehorn Campsite. Saturday, we hike to the Berg Lake Campsite and tent there Saturday and Sunday evening. We return to the trailhead on Monday. Because BC Parks only allows making reservations within a four-month window, it will be April or May before we have the exact dates.
Lastly but by no means least...
September 20 – 22, 2019 we conduct a more strenuous tour into Mount Assiniboine. Participants have the option of hiking or flying in and/or out. We tent at the Magog Lake camp ground. We go in on a Friday and come out on a Sunday. Participants need to be fit and able to hike mid distances. The hike in is guided and leaves from the Mount Shark heliport. It is 29 kilometers with an elevation gain of 377 meters. The flight is a fifteen minute helicopter ride. Saturday we hike 11.4 kilometers with an elevation gain of 558 meters. Sunday you can either join the guided hike out or fly out. For more details contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Details will also be available on the school calendar at, Burwell School of Photography.
